Clearer Vision Naturally

All my work in Jane Hogan Health is rooted in the understanding that the body can heal naturally given the right environment. I know this to be true with my own personal experience, my clients and based on many, many healing stories.  Time and time again, I witness people releasing pain and inflammation naturally without popping pills, taking injections or having surgery.

Strangely though, I never thought about applying this same principle to eyesight. It almost makes me laugh now!  Why didn’t I see (ha … no pun intended!) that if other parts of the body can heal, why not the eyes too? 

I even had a personal experience of my eyesight improving. 

For many years I wore contact lenses. My vision prescription wasn’t too bad, -1.25 for nearsightedness. About ten years ago, I got an eye infection and couldn’t wear contacts for a while. I kept forgetting to wear glasses, so I just decided to go without them until the infection cleared up, except when driving at night.  

Yes, things were a little blurry, but I got used to it.  

In fact, I got so used to it that I never put contacts in my eyes again.  

And guess what?  My eyesight improved! 

With every visit to the optometrist my prescription lowered. My most recent prescription was -0.25. In other words, nearly perfect! I was actually improving with age!

(Up to a point.  A few years ago I noticed I needed more clarity when reading. I got myself a pair of readers.  And then another pair. And then stronger ones.)

Within a very short period of time I had readers in nearly every room in the house … I didn’t want to resort to having them on a chain around my neck.

This was so disappointing after my “eyesight improving with age” experience. 

Recently I met another professional in the natural wellness space who specializes in helping people see clearly without glasses or surgery.  I was intrigued.

I was so intrigued that I decided to interview her on my Wellness By Design show. 

Claudia Muehlenveg, inspired by her personal experience, is on a mission to help people see clearly naturally.  She has created the Naturally Clear Vision Method to help people find the root cause of their vision issues rather than treating symptoms. 

I’m implementing one of Claudia’s tips right now: my reading glasses are off as I type! I am also taking little breaks by looking away from my screen periodically.
